The Pastoral Council is composed primarily of elected members of the parish. They function as the voice of the parishioners in regards to programs needed for the spiritual good of the parish. They advise the pastor on these matters and assess the effectiveness of present programs and/or new programs. Members serve a 3-year term, with election of 1/3 of the council taking place in spring.
Council meetings usually take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Parish Complex, except October and March which are held at St. Rose Hall in Chesapeake City. Meetings are open to all registered members of the parish, who may address the Council if recognized by the chairperson.

The Pastor appoints the Finance Council members, after consulting with the Pastoral Council.
The Finance Council advises the pastor on the care and use of parish funds.
The Council meets monthly, and assists in the preparation and monitoring of the parish budget.
