Recommendation from Diocesan Implementation Team: Deanery or parish clusters should work together.

Rationale: Combining the resources of several parishes simply makes good sense. It is a way to lighten the burden on all parishes and makes use of particular gifts and talents in one place by sharing them with several. On a practical level it is certainly more cost effective. Deaneries or parish clusters should consider a “faculty” of sorts that could give a presentation in a variety of locations and, ideally, at a variety of times and/or days of the week.
As a result of the recommendation above, the parishes of our deanery have put together such a “faculty” and will offer formation on the liturgy and the Roman missal on the following dates:

Tuesday, 08 November, 7:00pm          Saturday, 12 November, 10:00am
Immaculate Conception, Elkton           St. Joseph, Middletown

Monday, 14 November, 7:00pm
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Bear

The same presentation will be given at each of these locations and will feature several speakers who will assist us in welcoming the newly translated missal. The sessions are designed to run approximately 90 minutes. Remember, it is our Bishop who has asked us to use this time of preparation as an opportunity to deepen our appreciation for the Eucharist. Parish groups and committees might also consider attending one of these formation sessions either in lieu of a regular meeting or - and perhaps more in keeping with the theme of Eucharist and sacrifice - in addition to their regular meeting.
