PARISH LIFE MINISTRIES

Parish Life Committee

We are a standing committee of the Pastoral Council concerned with promoting the spiritual and social life of the parish. We help to enrich the lives of parishioners by providing opportunities to come together for prayer and fellowship.

Teen Impact Youth Ministry

    We provide comprehensive youth ministry to high school aged youth that includes youth meetings, service projects, social activities and participation in parish life. Youth will meet friends, learn, and have fun. The group also finds time for a yearly retreat, conferences, mission trips, and leadership camps. Volunteers are also needed to help run this important ministry

  • Gifts Desired: Teens who are enthusiastic about their faith and willing to learn with, share fun times with, and support one another.
  • Commitment: Bi-monthly meetings on Sunday afternoons. Service projects scheduled once a month. Social activities scheduled once a month. The program runs September-May with other opportunities for service, learning, and fun in the summer months.

BLAST – Being Loved And Saved teens (Junior High Youth Ministry)

    We provide opportunities for junior high school aged youth to participate in parish life, including service, social and spiritual activities. Youth will meet friends, learn, and have fun. Volunteers are also needed to help run this important ministry.

  • Gifts Desired: Junior high School students who are enthusiastic about their faith and willing to learn with, share fun times with, and support one another.
  • Commitment: Activities as planned are announced in the parish bulletin.

Stay & Play

    We provide opportunities for parents and pre-school children to socialize and build community spirit.

Small Christian Communities

    Small groups of people gather to reflect on the impact of faith in their lives. We strive to deepen the experience of faith.

  • Gifts Desired: Willingness to share faith with others.
  • Commitment: Small groups meet at least once a month in members’ homes.

“Over 55” Group

    We provide opportunities for more experienced members of the parish to interact and get involved in Social, Service, Spiritual and Support activities.

  • Gifts Desired: Ability to work with others and have fun.
  • Commitment: Meetings 2nd Monday of each month from Noon - 2:00 PM and activities as planned.

Boy Scouts / Cub Scouts

    We provide opportunities for boys to participate in scouting in a Catholic environment.

  • Gifts Desired: Interest in working with other boys to develop physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

    We provide a program for those who are separated and divorced which assists them in dealing with the personal issues that arise.

  • Commitment: The complete program is six sessions, usually scheduled once in the fall and once in the spring.

Welcome Team

    We try to contact new parishioners and help them feel welcome to our parish.

  • Gifts Desired: A welcoming spirit that will communicate the joy that comes from being part of a parish family.
  • Commitment: To assist in sending out “Welcome Packs” to new parishioners and plan socials to give them a brief overview of parish ministries.
  • Opportunity: To be ambassadors of the parish and give newcomers a sense of belonging.

    We provide aid and assistance to the poor, the disadvantaged and the needy through personal involvement. Create arenas that generate a spirit of Christian community through family activities. Promote brotherhood and fraternalism and to assist the pastor and the parish community.

  • Gifts Desired: A practicing Catholic gentleman at least 18 years of age with a desire to serve the parish community and the community at large in a selfless, charitable way. A fraternal love for your brothers.
  • Commitment: To serve at charitable fund raising functions, attend some meetings and serve in different capacities assisting the pastor and the parish community. Participate in family functions.
  • Opportunity: To form a fraternal bond with brother knights, promote family life, and to help the poor, the disadvantaged, and the needy.

    Wee seek to improve and accomplish change in a rapidly changing world. Set the example through works of charity, devotion, and promotion of Catholic values. Provide assistance to our local Knights of Columbus Council.

  • Gifts Desired: A practicing Catholic woman at least 18 years of age with a desire to join others in programs that brighten the lives of the less fortunate.
  • Commitment: To participate in charitable fundraising events. Attend meetings (once per month) as able.
  • Opportunity: To enjoy the challenges and satisfaction of making a difference. To have fun and make friends.
